Mastery Club Challenges
About Mastery Club Challenges

If you are on this page, you are ready, willing, and able to take your learning to the next level.  Complete as many of these challenges as possible to earn a star for each challenge you complete.  To complete a challenge, go to the link listed for the challenge topic and learn all you can. Then meet with Ms. Rogers or complete the challenge as stated. Once you have earned 15 stars your name will be part of my Mastery Club Wall of Fame.  The top three Mastery Club Members for the year will receive a special award at the end of the year.

 

Instructions:

1. Complete each challenge on a separate piece of paper or meet with Ms. Rogers to demonstrate your new found knowlegdge.  If you have to do an online challenge or quiz, please print it out.

2. Please make sure that your name and the date is on your paper.

3. Turn in each paper to Ms. Rogers.

MATH
1.    Draw the lines of symmetry for the capital alphabet.
2.    Compute area of squares, rectangles, and triangles.

3.    Practice your place value and make a place value chart.

4.    Write in Roman numerals up to 100.


5.    Name 5 famous mathematicians.
6.    Earn 100% on the square roots test.

7.    Earn 100% in 4 minutes on the addition basic facts test.
8.    Earn 100% in 4 minutes on the subtraction basic facts test.
9.    Earn 100% in 4 minutes on the multiplication basic facts test.
10.    Earn 100% in 4 minutes on the division basic facts test.
11.    Earn 100% on the area and perimeter of rectangles quiz.


Language Arts and Linguistic Challenges
LANGUAGE ARTS
21.    Name 20 verbs and use them in sentences.

22.    Name 15 adjectives and use them in sentences.
23.    Name 15 adverbs and use them in sentences.

24.    Name 5 prepositions and use them in sentences.
25.    Name 10 common nouns and 10 proper nouns and use them in sentences.

26.    Name 10 famous authors and at least one book they have written.
27.    Give 2 examples each of alliteration, personification, simile, metaphor, and onomatopoeia.



28.    Count to 20 in Spanish.
29.    Count to 20 in French.
30.    Use sign language and sign the alphabet.
31.    Play the Third Grade Grammar Super Challenge.
