Class Information
Syllabuses:
Follow the "Class Handouts" link below. A hard copy will be given to students on the first day of school. Please read the syllabus and return the bottom portion with a parent signature by Tuesday, September 4.

Required supplies for all grade levels:
  • 1 Hardbound journal/composition book (Quad 4x4, 9.75” X 7.5”, minimum 100 pages or 50 sheets)
  • 1 Masking Tape .70"/18mm (any narrow brand)
  • 1 Transparent Tape
  • 1 White school glue
  • 1 Ruler – metric and standard
  • 1 pkg. Colored pencils
  • 1 pkg. Non-flexible drinking straws
  • 1 Flash drive minimum 1 gigabyte

Students will also be required to supply materials as needed for class projects.

Week at a Glance and Homework Assignments
March 4 - 8 (updated 03.313 @ 1139 hours)

Mr. Norman will be out all day for the 7th grade field trip on Friday, March 8. Students will have an assignment to complete during his absence.

  • Introduction to Design and Technology (Grade 6):
Begin unit on rocketry. Rocketry basics, force and motion review. Design and create high-powered paper rockets. Rockets will be launched from a pneumatic launcher and graded on height and distance

  • Technology Exploration (Grades 7 & 8)
Solid rocket safety and launch procedures. Launching will occur on Tuesday and Wednesday. If all goes well, Thursday we'll begin our construction unit. Students will be required to furnish a shoebox and 750 round or square toothpicks. Please do not buy flat toothpicks. These items will be due after spring break on Monday, March 18.

Note: Due to the nature of these classes, the weekly agenda is always subject to change.
